Description of Atomized Ferrosilicon 15%

Atomized Ferrosilicon Powder is a FeSi powder containing a small amount of silicon elements.It is smelted by electric furnace and then used for vacuum water atomization,

and is made through high-precision screening and other processes. Thispowder is widely used in industry, especially in the field of ore dressingfor DMS(density media separation) or HMS(Heavy Medium Separation).

Uesed

Atomised Ferro Silicon 15% is used in Heavy Media Separation (aka ‘Dense Media Separation’ or ‘DMS’ or ‘Sink/Float’ Plants) used in the mining and scrap processing industries. Heavy medium separation is a gravity separation technique which creates a medium with a specific density. This medium allows lights to float and heavies to sink, thus permitting separation due to density. Whether this be particular ores from gangue in mining or non ferrous metals in the scrap industry, it is generally used in plants with a cutting density of above 3g/c㎥.
